My research into how different coloured lifting effects the way the face and body looks.

This video shows my research into how different coloured lighting affects the way we see the face and body. It includes normal lighting, pink, purple and blue filtered lighting. I created the different coloured affects by using different coloured folders that i use to keep my work organised. I used these because they are see through but have a slight colour tint to them.
I found that the best colour was the blue and it was the most pigmented in colour, however the pink gave a eerie feeling to the face which is a common convention for rock pop videos.

Possible song ideas .....

These are mine and Jasmines possible song ideas from the genre of alternative punk pop as we both enjoy that style of music and from the results from my survey it was one of the top genre choices and we thought picking a genre that isn't as well known as Hip Hop or R&B because there are a lot of music videos out there for that genre already so we thought we could target a different audience.

I like this song however I think it is too slow to create a good music video for it. I prefer up beat songs because you are more able to add different editing effects such as slow motion and both fast/quick and slow Punk Goes Pop Vol. 6 - State Champs "Stay The Night"

This has to be my favourite song as it has an element of Pop music in it however it has the punk pop twist to it.

I like music video because of the use of the continuous close up that is used throughout the video, this shows us as the audience, that she has innocence, this is also shown through the use of mine-en-scene; she has a small amount makeup on (only that to emphasis her eye). I also like the simplicity of the whole video because this also emphasises the the importance of the words to her.

At 1:16, the use of the blur affect over the camera shot intensifies the look she is giving the audience and makes us feel as if we are looking though her eyes and as she looks like they are wheeling up.

My favourite video

I like this video because of the use of different editing techniques and also the use of the different props that are used to create different effects and angles of the camera shots. For example at 1:15 the use of the mirror to change direction of the camera looking at Taylor and the male and as the camera travels you realise that it is a mirror and you are not looking at them the correct way.
